FFL Transfers — Process & Pricing

Bought a firearm online? We can receive it for you. As a licensed FFL dealer, we handle firearm transfers from online retailers, private sellers, and auction sites.

How the FFL transfer process works:

Purchase your firearm online — Buy from any online retailer, auction, or out-of-state seller.
Ship it to us — Have the seller ship the firearm to our West Park FFL. Provide them with our dealer information (call us for our FFL details).
We notify you when it arrives — Once the firearm is in our possession, we’ll contact you to schedule your pickup.
Complete the paperwork — You’ll fill out ATF Form 4473 at our store and undergo the required FDLE (Florida Department of Law Enforcement) background check.
Observe the waiting period — Florida law requires a waiting period before you can take possession (see requirements below for details on exemptions).
Pick up your firearm — Once the waiting period has passed and your background check is approved, your firearm is ready.

Florida Firearm Purchase Requirements

If you’re purchasing a firearm in Florida, here are the general requirements you should be aware of:

Age requirement — You must be 21 years of age or older to purchase any firearm (handgun or long gun) in Florida.
Valid identification — A valid Florida driver’s license or state-issued ID is required.
Background check — All firearm purchases through a licensed dealer require a NICS/FDLE background check, processed at the time of sale.
Waiting period — Florida imposes a 3-day (excluding weekends and holidays) waiting period between purchase and delivery of a firearm. Holders of a valid Florida Concealed Weapon or Firearm License (CWFL) are generally exempt from this waiting period.
Form 4473 — All buyers must complete ATF Form 4473, the federal firearms transaction record.
