Current-Gen Consoles & Games (PS5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, etc.)
We regularly work with PlayStation 5 (disc and digital editions), Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch family systems (including OLED and Lite where inventory demand supports it). Popular games for these platforms — especially major franchises still in demand — typically hold value better than filler titles.
- Bring the console powered and reset-ready when possible. Controllers, HDMI cable, and power brick/cord matter for a complete quote.
- Disc editions may appraise differently than digital-only SKUs because resale markets differ.
- For games, complete-in-box (original case + artwork) usually beats loose discs or cartridges; condition of the disc surface (or cartridge pins) directly affects what we can pay or lend.
Vintage & Retro (NES, SNES, N64, Genesis, PS1–PS3, Xbox 360, Handhelds)
Retro gaming has its own pricing logic. We see everything from NES, SNES, and Nintendo 64 to Sega Genesis / Mega Drive, PlayStation 1 through PS3, Xbox and Xbox 360, and handhelds like Game Boy, Game Boy Advance, DS, 3DS, PSP, and Vita. Rare titles, first-party Nintendo, and sought-after RPGs often carry premiums — but condition and authenticity still come first.
- Cartridge games: Labels, intact shells, and clean contacts help; heavy sun fade, torn labels, or writing on the cart can reduce value.
- Disc-based retro: Original cases and manuals support stronger offers; heavy scratches may limit what we can accept for resale.
- Peripherals: Light guns, memory cards, rumble packs, and OEM controllers bundled with the system often increase completeness.
What Raises Value (Condition, Completeness & Format)
- Working condition. We test when appropriate; intermittent power, drift-heavy controllers, or failing disc drives are priced honestly based on repair/resale risk.
- Completeness. OEM power supply, HDMI or AV cables as applicable, and at least one genuine controller typically strengthen both loan and buy offers versus console-only.
- Disc vs. cartridge. Both are welcome; pricing follows second-hand demand and condition, not nostalgia alone.
- Collectibility. Limited editions, popular multiplayer titles, and games that rarely surface locally may appraise higher — we'll explain why at the counter.
Digital Games, Accounts & DRM — Practical Caveats
Physical games are straightforward: what you bring is what we can evaluate. Fully digital libraries are trickier because licenses are usually tied to a personal account and platform policies can change. We cannot rely on access that may be revoked, transferred inconsistently, or disputed later.
- Expect stronger offers on tangible items you can hand across the counter (consoles, discs, cartridges, accessories).
- If a console is logged into your account with downloaded games, those licenses typically stay with your account — they may not add transferable value to the hardware alone.
- Factory-reset consoles with proof of normal function are easier to price predictably for resale.
- We'll be direct: if something can't be valued safely under pawn-industry norms, we'll tell you upfront rather than inflate a quote.
Pawn Loan vs. Selling Outright — How We Frame It
Pawn loan: You borrow cash using the console or games as collateral. Florida pawn regulations apply (including disclosed fees and redemption windows). If you repay on schedule, you get your items back. If you choose not to redeem, the collateral satisfies the loan — no credit reporting on standard pawn loans.
Sell outright: You transfer ownership for a lump sum. Sell offers are typically higher than the loan amount on the same items because we're purchasing inventory outright with no redemption period.
Not sure which fits? Ask at either counter — we'll walk through both numbers so you can pick what matches your timeline. For general lending rules and FAQs, see our Pawn Loans Miami Gardens & West Park page.
What to Bring for an Accurate Quote
- Government photo ID (required for pawn or sale transactions under Florida law).
- The console, games, and accessories you want evaluated — including cables, docks, chargers, and controllers.
- Original boxes where you have them (especially for limited editions or newer systems).
- Any receipts or warranty cards — helpful context, though not required.
- For large bundles, feel free to call ahead so we can make sure a buyer is available during busy hours.

Do you buy broken consoles?
Sometimes, at reduced pricing based on parts value and repair cost risk. Bring it in and we'll inspect.
Is a pawn loan a credit check?
No. Pawn loans are collateral-based. Read more on our pawn loans service page or our explainer on pawn loans vs. payday loans in Florida.
